State of origin 2010 began with a QLD victory! The Blues scored late points to close the margin to 28-24.  The highlight of the game was Johnathan Thurston's brilliance, setting up a number of try's that included a pin point kick to set-up Billy Slater for QLD's second try.  The next game is set to be played at Suncorp stadium in three weeks time and it is sure to be a full house as supporters cheer on QLD in an attempt to go 2-0 and for a never before five series wins in a row.

As the winter chill sets in, the KickIt Touch Footy finals are about to heat up! The competition has been fierce and after 10 rounds, the top 3 teams in division 1 could only be separated by for and against points, with each team finishing on 22 competition points.  Reach Around Chino Time will face off against the might of the Slappers in semi-final 1 and last seasons winners Yeah Yeah Nah will meet the Touch Ups in semi-final 2.  Minor placing in division 1 are also up for grabs with the Milagros vs Le Touche who are new comers to KickIt touch football this season, but have showed some outstanding form recently, losing narrowly to Yeah Yeah Nah in the final round showing they have the skill to mix it with the best.  Mighty Mangoes will play Rock Solid which is sure to be a close game, both teams know how to use the kick effectively in general play to set up and score some great tries! Division 2 will feature last seasons victors the Stormers vs the Swann Road Scorpions who are new to finals footy, we wish both teams good luck in the semi final.  Kickn'It have some new recruits and have showed some great skill this season to finish in second spot to take on the Untouchables in the second Div 2 semi final.  The youthful team Fresh have real speed in their side and will meet Team Awesomeness in the minor placings of Div 2 and Neves take on the Minto's who will be out to score their first win of the season!
